Spiritual Nutrition: The Benefits of Juicing for Cleansing and Rejuvenation (plus bonus recipes!)

Juicing can enhance life in many positive ways.  It can cleanse our body and mind and rejuvenate them.  It can be used to clean our “pipes”, clearing out many toxins taken into the body by our sometimes less-than-ideal diet.  It can make us look younger and live a longer, more healthful life, and it can give us more energy, vibrancy and can improve our mood.  It also is known to enable us to absorb more nutrients and preserve valuable enzymes.

Juicing for Spiritual Nutrition (photo by Siel Ju)Juicing also makes a great start to a fast, which can be an excellent way to go deeper into our spiritual journey.  A wide variety of  vegetables, fruits and herbs can be juiced, and different combinations create interesting taste sensations and provide various nourishing effects.  My preference is to try to eliminate any additives, preservatives and chemicals by choosing organic produce.

Here are some juicing recipes and their reported benefits that I’ve acquired through friends and have experimented with too.  You can change or combine them to create your own unique juices.  It’s fun and delicious!
